CBD Post 2010 Indicator Survey

Introduction

Welcome to the post-2010 Biodiversity Indicator Framework survey, conducted by the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
The CBD, through decision VII/30, established a framework of indicators to assist in tracking progress towards the 2010 Biodiversity Target of achieving, by 2010, a significant reduction in the rate of biodiversity loss.
UNEP-WCMC is working with the CBD in compiling information and views on this framework. This survey is part of that effort. The results will be used as a basis for the discussions of the Convention on the post-2010 targets and indicators, including at the 14th meeting of the CBD Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA). In the short-term, your answers will be used to develop a background paper for an expert workshop on the post-2010 framework of indicators that is being organised by UNEP-WCMC and the CBD Secretariat and hosted by the Government of UK in July 2009.
This survey is complementary to the e-forum of the Secretariat of the CBD on the Post-2010 Strategic Plan of the Convention which is open until 31 March 2009 (see http://www.cbd.int/sp/post2010forum/).
We would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to answer the following ten questions (most of which have multiple choice options).
