This is an anonymous survey designed to find out how to best serve working artists – whether they are visual, performing, literary or media artists – who derive some or all of their income from their creative work. It was designed jointly by Pittsfield’s Office of Cultural Development and the Berkshire Cultural Resource Center (through its partners the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, MASS MoCA, and the City of North Adams).

No identifying information is recorded, which we hope will encourage all respondents to be fully honest about their financial circumstances and housing/business needs without privacy concerns. We thank you in advance for your participation in this survey.
