Welcome to this study


This survey is in 4 sections. After each section you need to press the forward button to the next page of the survey.

It will take you aprox. 45 minutes to complete. Please complete all sections of the survey. You can come back and finish it at a later time just by logging back onto this link.

Firstly we will begin by asking you some general questions. Although the questions will be specific to you, none of the answers will be able to identify you in person. All answers you give are anonymous and will not be shared with anyone other than for the purpose they are given.

Next you will be asked to give some examples of emotions and rate how you measure against that example.

You will be asked to read some scenarios. Please read them carefully. Imagine that you are a person also experiencing the situation being described.

Afterwards please read the three answers and rate each one. Please give each answer a rating between 1 and 5.

You will be asked to answer 30 questions that require you to indicate if you strongly disagree, moderately disagree, moderately agree or strongly agree to the statement given.


We are interested in your first, spontaneous and honest answer. There are no right or wrong answers. Any question that does not apply to you (especially for younger participants) just acknowledge that you disagree to it when you select an answer.
