Tell us about your experiences using early childhood services.

The Rainbow Families Council is seeking ideas, information and personal stories from individuals and families in the community, to assist us in developing a new resource booklet to assist early childhood services (i.e.Maternal & Child Health, Kindergartens, Child Care Centres) become more inclusive of rainbow families.

The Rainbow Families Council hopes to develop a new resource by the end of 2009 for all rainbow families to assist us make this world a more inclusive space for rainbow families and especially our children.

There is currently a booklet called-We're Here ....a resource for child care workers but unfortunately it is currently out or print and very hard to find electroinically. This booklet was developed by some parents from the Fairfield Playgroup and the Darebin Community Health Centre in .

The Rainbow Families Council is a volunteer community organization working for same-sex parented families in Victoria. We bring together lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex parenting groups, families, children's and family organisations and other allies. We aim to: share information and resources to support families, children and prospective parents; work for social and legal recognition for our children and families; speak out about the diverse realities of our lives; represent the best interests and rights of children living in rainbow families, parents and prospective parents to government and non-government bodies; and encourage families to be visible and proud

Any personal stories, ideas and suggestions may be used in the developing of this new resource. Please indicate if it is OK for the Rainbow Families Council to use any comments or quotes at the end of this survey.
