VOLUNTEER APPLICATION (Washington DC Exhibition)

We are in need of on-site VOLUNTEERS throughout the exhibition, serving as receptionists, docents, and ushers, as well as persons who can provide various technical services and logistical support. Please consider the volunteer opportunities as they are listed below and check those areas where you are can volunteer. We are deeply grateful for the gift of your time, talent, and treasure.

Note: If you are an artist, poet, or musician and wish to volunteer as a performer or you wish to submit your art for showing in the Guest Gallery at the Peace Mural Exhibition, please submit the alternate form for "Artists, Musicians and Performers" or send your submission in the form of an email note to: DC-artists@peacemural.org.

4-Hour Shift Staffing of the Exhibition: We ask for a minimum commitment of at least one 4-hour shift per week for each of the 9 weeks of the Exhibition, though multiple shifts are welcomed. Though we are open to flexing the schedule, volunteers are generally asked to work the same time shift(s) for each of the 9 weeks of the exhibition. The Exhibition opens SATURDAY, Nov. 29 and continues through FRIDAY, January 30th. With the exception of Christmas Day, the Exhibition is open daily from 10am-9pm (Sunday-Thursday) and 10am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Choose the Day of the Week and the Shift period for which you wish to volunteer. Volunteer training sessions will be held the week before the exhibit opens. We will follow-up with you later and provide more detailed information as the exhibition approaches.

TECHNICAL and LOGISTICAL SUPPORT: Below are listing of some of technical/logistical needs to manage the complex elements of the DC Peace Mural Exhibition and program of events. Please check those where you can provide material and/or or human service assistance.
