2010 Promising Pals Registration
 
Thank you for your interest in the Promising Pals Program!

The following registration is for members of the Simmons Community wishing to participate in the Promising Pals Program. If you are not affiliated with Simmons College (i.e. Simmons Faculty, Staff, Graduate Student, or Alumnae/i), please email LDohertyBPS@gmail.com with "Promising Pals" in the subject line and let them know you want to sign up as a Promising Pal.

By submitting this registration you are agreeing to the expectations of participation:

1. Be a pen pal with a 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student.

2. Exchange at least 4 letters between December 2009 and May 2010.

3. Read the assigned book and discuss it with your student in your letters.

4. Meet your pal at the Pal Breakfast hosted by the Timilty School on June 4th from 7:30 am – 10:30 am. Attendance at this event is required, as the students are very disappointed not to have their pal attend the breakfast.

Please state a preference for the gender of your pal. We will do our best to comply, however, we cannot guarantee that you will be paired with a student of the gender you wish.

If you would like to be paired with the same student from last year, please provide the student's name and home room (from last year)and we will do our best to accommodate this request.*

*If we are able to place you with your pal from last year, you may be placed in a home room that is not partnered with Simmons. If this is the case, your contact person will not be the Simmons Promising Pals Coordinator.
