Welcome to the annual Savannah Ogeechee Regional Science and Engineering Fair, sponsored by Georgia Tech Savannah. The 2010 SORSEF will be held at the Coastal Georgia Center, on February 9-11, 2010. Your judging expertise will be needed on February 10, which is Fair Day.

One of the most valuable experiences for young scientists is the opportunity to discuss their findings with established members of the scientific and engineering communities. Thank you for being an important part of this scientific discovery!

4. Choose categories you feel you are most qualified to judge. Out of the following categories, please indicate your top three category judging preferences. Most judges are assigned 5-7 projects to judge from a single category and we will do our best to assign you projects in your 1st choice category. For details on each category go to www.SORSEF.org

5. Would you like to be a Category Leader?
Tasks include collecting judge scoring sheets for your catetgory, gaining consensus with judges in your category, determing Category Winner (Middle and High School).

6. Would you like to be a SPECIAL AWARDS Judge? Over forty scientific, engineering, local and Federal government organizations sponsor Special Awards presented at FASF. Donors may assign judges to select winners of their respective awards but in some cases they ask the Fair to determine the award recipient.

All students who participate in the fair are considered for special awards.


7. SORSEF is looking for a few good mentors! If you are interested in connecting young scientists with the world of professional science and engineering.

Is it possible that you are currently a mentor/adult sponsor/parent of a student participating in this years science fair? If so, please tell us who that student (or students) are so we can be sure you won't be asked to judge their project(s). Thanks!
