2009: Survey of Spontaneous Paranormal Experiences by Rosemary Breen
Welcome to The Nature Incidence & Impact of Spontaneous Paranormal Experiences!
The aim of this research is to learn more about paranormal events in everyday life and, depending on how much information you offer, it will take around 10 minutes to complete. Originally, this survey was used to collect data for my Higher Degree dissertation at Monash University in Australia. I believe this was the first time that the Internet had been used to collect paranormal data on such a large scale. As with the original study, it is anticipated that the outcome of this survey will appear in professional publications and may form the basis of future online and off-line research projects.
Participation in this survey is completely voluntary and you may withdraw at any stage. Your anonymity is respected and the confidentiality of your data will be protected, as far as possible at all times. There are no known side effects to participating in this research but some people may find revisiting their own paranormal experiences uncomfortable. If this does occur, please withdraw from the study and, if necessary, seek the help of a trained professional.
At the close of the survey you will be invited to register to receive email updates. Again, this is entirely optional. Should you choose to do this, the confidentiality of your survey responses will not be affected in any way.
Over 4,000 volunteers participated in the original survey and some of those who missed out, have since contacted me and asked for the survey to be run again. Hence this relaunch!
With your help, this second survey round could be even bigger than the first. So, spread the word and let's see how the paranormal is really being felt around the world.
For your responses to count you must complete the survey.
With thanks.
Cheers
Rosemary Breen
