Introduction

The Washington State Department of Community, Trade & Economic Development is undertaking this informal survey of potential bioenergy production opportunities and their economic benefits to help us better target future economic and technical assistance.

We are interested in the full range of bioenergy projects, including:

* Biofuels, biogas and biopower production facilities
* Dedicated energy crops and organic waste feedstocks
* Related R&D efforts, including coproducts and markets
