. Last Spring our PTSA co-sponsored a Service Fair with the district. At the fair, attendees could "browse" the tables of service providers and attend workshops put on by district personnel that addressed topics such as the IEP process, the WASL and alternative assessments, positive collaboration, Individual Transition Plans, and post secondary programs and graduation requirements. What services would you like to learn about at such a fair?

. Our PTSA will sponsor a conference on Saturday, October 17, called “Best Practices for Inclusive Schools,”at the John Stanford Center Auditorium. We invite parents and teachers -- both general ed and special ed – to spend the morning and early afternoon with our keynote speaker, Dr. Elise Frattura, who will address the impact of the ICS model on both special and general ed populations followed by a panel discussion and audience break-out groups that will explore the application of this model to Seattle Public Schools. Bill, Jo, and Chanel Krueger will close out the conference with a presentation on their daughter’s successful experience in inclusive settings. Do you plan to attend?
