This Issue's Dilemma:

Keeping coworkers off the sauce

Recently, I made a sales call with a fellow account manager, Joe. I was shocked to find him a little under the influence — slurred words and alcohol on his breath. The prospect noticed it also.

After the meeting, I asked Joe about drinking on the job. He said, “I only had a couple during lunch; it relaxes me.”

I have a lot of respect for Joe and his ability, but I know he has a drinking problem. What do I do? Try to reason with him? Speak with our boss? Just ignore it? What do readers advise?
