This survey is part of a research project to study student beliefs about language learning.
To take the survey, you need to:

2.Click "Yes" at the bottom of this page to tell us that you have read this document and consent to participate in the Web survey
3.Complete the Web survey. The survey has 60 questions, and will take less than 30 minutes to complete.
University ESL students enrolled in Intensive English Programs in the United States.
BENEFITS TO PARTICIPANTS
You may learn something about your own beliefs about language learning, but no immediate rewards are offered.
BENEFITS TO SOCIETY
Your participation will provide data that will help us understand the needs of ESL students, learn how to better train ESL teachers, and improve ESL programs.
In accordance with University of Texas at Arlington's policies, and as the principal investigator, I assure you that:
1.Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary.
2.Your participation will be anonymous. No one at your school will see your answers.
3.All possibly identifying information will be kept strictly confidential. Surveymonkey has a secure server, and only research team members have access to the survey data.
4. You may choose to stop taking the survey at any time.
