Information Sheet
Engineers Job Study (Decisions Around Leaving)
You are invited to participate in a research study that is being conducted by Kimberly Cowan, a doctoral candidate in the Organizational Psychology program at Rutgers University. The purpose of this research is to examine the various decisions that lead to quitting one's job (i.e., voluntary job termination).
Participation involves completing an on-line questionnaire, which should take less than 20 minutes. I am hoping that at least 1000 Engineers will participate.
Responses will be collected using a third party service. The third party service will aggregate the responses into a database. There will be no way to link your responses back to you. Therefore, the data are anonymous.
There are no foreseeable risks to participation in this study. Participation is voluntary. You may choose not to participate, and you may withdraw at any time during the study procedures without any penalty to you.
This research is anonymous, so I will not ask for any information about you that could identify you. This means that I will not ask for your name, address, phone number, date of birth, etc.
If you have any questions about the study procedures, you may contact:
