Ugh! I was passed over for another promotion
Management has overlooked me for a
promotion several times. I'm concerned it's a career kiss of death. I'm about
five to eight years from retirement, so maybe I shouldn't care. I do my best to
be a strong contributor and respectful of everyone and the company. Many of my
colleagues are frustrated about the lack of promotions, too, and they're not all
close to retirement.
Should we just stop wishing and keep
our heads down? Or is there something we can do to help nudge us into a new
position?
