Survey of School Libraries in the Gulf Coast Region

Please note this survey is not attached to any application for grant money. It is an independent survey of the damages and needs of school libraries.

This survey is an effort to understand the extent of the damage to school libraries caused by the 2005 hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma. If you have any involvement with such a school, or just know some information about such a school, PLEASE take some time to answer the questions below. According to the U.S. Department of Education, 1,121 schools in the Gulf Coast region were damaged: we are trying to understand the library needs of every one of these schools!

Please complete a survey for each school. If you have information on several schools and/or would rather talk by phone, please send your phone number to stein@unt.edu

Thank you for your assistance,
Barbara Stein, University of North Texas
