The Council of Community Services is collecting this information to help its nonprofit members to find potential candidates with financial and accounting expertise to serve on their Boards of Directors. CCSNYS will share all or part of this information with the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) as part of "CPAs on Boards," a program developed by the NYSSCPA in collaboration with CCSNYS, NPCC, ANG and BBB. This information may be posted on their website or their chapter websites to aid in the process of connecting willing CPA volunteers with nonprofits looking for this kind of expertise on their board of directors.

An email will be sent to you if there is a potential matching candidate. Please make sure to contact the candidate promptly to discuss further a possible position on your board.

CCSNYS and NYSSCPA will be providing board training to CPAs across the state on general duties and responsibilities as well the unique issues involved in accounting for nonprofit organizations. If your potential board member needs training or has questions about board services please have them call CCSNYS about possible trainining opportunities at (800) 515-5012, ext. 111 and speak to Denise Harlow.
