1. Survey of extended opening times for hospital clinics

The Health Service in Glasgow and Clyde is working towards providing services that are patient focused. This means providing services in a way that meets the needs of our patient’s. This could include improving accessibility and communication and providing more flexible services.

One idea for increasing access and flexibility is to provide hospital clinics with extended opening times. This would be appointments outwith normal working hours i.e. in the evening and weekends. Before this idea is developed further we would like to find out how people attending our hospital clinics feel about the idea of extending opening times.

If you have attended a hospital clinic and have had a booked appointment then we would like to know what you think. We would appreciate it if you could take the time to answer the following questions. This should take no more than 5 minutes. Please ignore any questions you’d rather not answer.

Thank you for your help.

1. When you go to hospital clinics does the time of the clinic cause you any problems?

2. Based on your individual circumstances, if extended opening times were put in place what times would best suit you? (Please tick all that apply to you)

3. If you expressed an interest in any of the extended opening times please tell us why this would suit your needs? Please tick all that apply to you.

4. If you are not interested in any of the extended opening times please tell us why not? Please tick all that apply to you.

5. Do you have any other comments you’d like to make about extended opening times?
