Students Organizing Diversity Activities

 
Students Organizing Diversity Activities will be responsible for the planning and implementation of programs recognizing cultural, heritage and awareness months (i.e. Hispanic Heritage, GLBT, Native American, Black History, Disability, etc.). Student planners will collaborate with underrepresented student organizations during each month and ensure that the campus community is aware of monthly festivities. This group of students will be given the opportunity to create new programming ideas for each celebratory month. In order to be involved with this group, students can express interest in planning activities for one or more monthly celebrations.


Our minimum qualifications for the SODA member positions are:
* Minimum 2.5 GPA for the most recent semester, and 2.5 cumulative GPA.
* Interest in diversity and supporting a just community.
* At minimum be available from 5:30pm to 6:30pm every Tuesday.


All selected members will need to commit five (5) hours per week to SODA, with mandatory bi-weekly SODA member meetings at 5:30 pm on every other Tuesday during the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 semesters.
