1. National Survey of Casual/Sessional Academic Staff
NTEU has had increasing concern over the high level of casualisation of academic work throughout the tertiary education sector, and the impact that this trend is having on the career prospects of aspiring academics, the life of the academic community, and the working conditions of casual/sessional academics.
In order to make advances in these areas, the union needs current data about casual academics and their concerns, and the involvement of casual academics themselves in shaping a campaign that is directed towards some key goals of central importance to them.
