About our project & partnership:

The Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians Economic Development Corporation, Intertribal Timber Council, United South and Eastern Tribes, Heritage University, and Ecotrust are working together on a collaborative project, Growing the Tribal Workforce in the PNW and Beyond. Our project is focused on addressing the challenges of communication across Tribal programs, initiatives, and stakeholders to identify employment and learning/training opportunities in Tribal forestry and green infrastructure.

Our project has three phases:

1. Identification of employment and learning/training opportunities with Tribal projects in forestry and green infrastructure fields.

2. Assessment of how to improve communication, outreach, and recruitment practices for Tribal projects in these fields.

3. Connect Native youth and underemployed adults to employment or internship opportunities with Tribal projects in these fields.

This project is funded by the USDA U.S. Forest Service National Urban and Community Forestry Challenge Cost-Share Grant Program.

Your voluntary participation in this survey will help us learn more about Tribal projects, employment, and learning/training opportunities in these growing fields. The information that you provide will be held in confidence by Ecotrust and our project partners listed above. If you have any questions, please contact Stephanie Cowherd: scowherd@ecotrust.org
