Nevis School District Community Survey

This past April, the Nevis School District brought forward a facilities referendum that did not pass. While the outcome wasn’t what we had hoped for, we want to acknowledge and sincerely thank our community for its continued support of our students, staff, and schools. We understand that while our community values Nevis Public School, the plan presented in April wasn’t the right fit for everyone — and we recognize that we can’t do everything at once.

Even so, our district continues to face significant facility needs, including areas where we are short on space to support learning and programs. The School Board and administration have been carefully reviewing the feedback from the previous process and are now exploring a revised plan that focuses on our most urgent facility priorities. The goal is to develop a responsible solution that meets critical needs while reducing the overall cost and tax impact for residents.

Nevis is proud to be a Choice School, attracting many families who choose to enroll their children here from outside the district boundaries. This open enrollment is a tremendous benefit — bringing in additional revenue that supports programs and opportunities for all Nevis students and helps make our schools the strong, vibrant place they are today.
