All fire and rescue authorities are required to produce a medium term plan that sets out the ways in which they will identify and deal with local risks and challenges. We published our current three year Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP) in July 2021.

Our new plan is called a Community Risk Management Plan but it still meets the Authority’s legal responsibility and most importantly outlines how we plan to use our resources to respond to emergencies, improve our services and reduce the risks facing our communities.

Our CRMP 2024-27 is designed to continue the ambitions of our previous plan, building resources back into the Service and proposing changes that will allow us to continually improve our services and deliver our Vision to be the best fire and rescue service in the UK and be an organisation that lives up to its Purpose: “Here to serve. Here to protect. Here to keep you safe”.

When developing our Draft CRMP we have considered the impact of the risks in Merseyside, the demand for our emergency services and the vulnerability of the people and places that make up our communities. We hope that the information we provide will explain why our proposals are important to us and how they will help us improve outcomes for Merseyside.

Full details of how we propose to deal with Risk, Demand and Vulnerability and our CRMP proposals are available on our website. View the Draft Community Risk Management Plan Management Plan 2024-2027 here
