Thank you for your interest in completing this survey, your feedback is important.
Action Hampshire have been commissioned by Dummer Parish Council to find out the current and future housing needs of local people. The purpose of the survey is to obtain information from households in Dummer for all types of housing, whether it be for first time buyers, renters, upsizers, downsizers or affordable housing.

At this stage, no decisions have been made about moving forward with any type of housing scheme. That’s why your feedback is so important, this survey will help determine whether there’s a genuine need for development of new homes, what type and how many.

In many rural areas, providing a small number of affordable homes for local people has helped villages remain vibrant and inclusive. It allows younger generations, families, and older residents to stay close to their roots, preserving the character of the community and supporting local services. If a need for affordable homes is identified through this survey, any homes delivered would be reserved for local people in perpetuity and could be provided by a specialist Housing Association or the Borough Council. This type of development is considered an exception to standard planning rules because it meets a proven local need, something that can be demonstrated through surveys like this.
