Darley Dale Town Council New Housing Developments Survey - To be completed by 27th March 2026

What this survey is about

Derbyshire Dales District Council (DDDC) is currently reviewing the Local Plan this year and the number of houses to be built across the whole of Derbyshire Dales has been more or less doubled by the new government. Darley Dale will be expected to build more of the extra housing required than in the current Local Plan.

Part of this higher build number is to provide houses for people moving to Darley Dale to take up work in Darley Dale.

Darley Dale Town Council (DDTC) would like to test the rationale behind this by conducting a very short survey of as many of the new residents that have recently moved to Darley Dale to understand why they moved to Darley Dale and where from, where and how they work, and how they travel to work. The results of the survey may help the Town Council's response to the Local Plan review and in considering future proposed developments.
