Introduction
The Government has introduced the Disability Support Services Bill to Parliament. The Bill proposes changes to the way disability support services are funded and administered in New Zealand.
The Cerebral Palsy Society is preparing a submission to the Social Services and Community Select Committee. We would like to understand how current disability support arrangements are working for people with Cerebral Palsy - Hōkai Nukurangi and their whānau, and how proposed changes to disability support settings may affect you.
This survey asks about:
- current support needs and pressures,
- caregiving arrangements,
- financial impacts,
- access to support services,
- the capacity of family and whānau to provide support.
Your responses will help inform the Society’s advocacy and Select Committee submission.
The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete and your responses will save so you can come back to it later if you need to.
Some questions may be difficult or time-consuming to answer. We appreciate your time and sharing your experiences.
Your responses will be kept confidential. Any information used in submissions, advocacy, or public communications will be anonymised and reported in a way that does not identify individuals or families unless you give explicit permission. You do not need to share any information you are uncomfortable providing. You may skip questions if you wish.
This survey will close at midnight on Sunday, June 7.
