Incidents will be reported to the Department of Housing and Public Works fortnightly.

Background

The behaviour of residents of the boarding house at 117 Park Rd, Yeronga, has been of significant concern to the families and staff of Yeronga State School, and our local community, for many years because of the risk it poses to our children and community. In a meeting with the Yeronga State School Principal (Michelle D'Netto) and P&C Presidents (Kym Mansfield and Hamish Townsend), representatives of the Department of Housing and Public Works (which is responsible for licensing the boarding house) advised that the Department could impose conditions on the operators of the boarding house if enough incidents of concerning behaviour were reported and verified. This is our best chance to force the owners of the boarding house to change the type of residents they accept.

The purpose of this form is to create a portal for members of our community who witness concerning or inappropriate behaviour of boarding house residents to report the details of incident/s witnessed so they can be forwarded to the Department of Housing and Public Works.

Before completing this form please phone Police Link on 131 444 to report the incident and make note of the incident report number you are given. This is because the Department has asked for incident report numbers to be included in the incident reports that we send them.

Please provide as much detail as possible about the incident on this form, and also let us know (using the tick box below) whether you would like your details to be included in the register of incidents that we will send to the Department on a fortnightly basis.
