Ampfield Village Design Statement questionnaire

In 2003, Ampfield Parish Council and Test Valley Borough Council formally adopted the original Ampfield Village Design Statement (VDS). At the time it was regarded as one of the best examples of a VDS in the county. However, it is gradually being overtaken by events. The decision has been taken to undertake fresh research and to issue a revised edition that will serve our community for a further period. The purpose of this questionnaire is get YOUR views on the issues that determine the future of building development across Ampfield.

The answers you give will be used to help draft the Ampfield VDS and play an integral role in the preparation of the planning guidance recommendations that form a key part of the VDS. Thus the Ampfield VDS will be able to reflect accurately the views of the parishioners on matters of development and design. It will also be able to set out clearly the key planning principles that the parishioners of Ampfield consider important and how these can be used to protect and enhance the future of the parish.

Please read the questions and the accompanying notes and then consider your answers carefully. Full details regarding completing and returning the questionnaire are provided at the end. It is particularly important to note that a high response rate will add material weight to the VDS.
