Time Management
How on earth do you fit it all in one day?? Come learn strategies for managing your time effectively. Gain valuable skills and tools to take with you!

The Importance of Fathers-Why Kids Need their Dads!
Importance of the role of father (you make a huge difference!), how you can help mom and assist the family, how fathers are a huge influence on their babies development (including social and emotional development, etc.). Kids of involved fathers are better adjusted, have higher self-confidence and tend to do better in school!!! Learn more about the importance of Dad’s in the lives of their child.

Be Smart about your Money
Come learn about debt reduction, the use of credit cards and establishing a family budget. In addition, you will cover making wise spending choices, covering expenses for you and your child, and more.

Calming Your Baby and Yourself
We know that babies communicate their wants and needs by crying, but what should we do when you have tried everything and the crying won’t stop?
Learn techniques to help calm your baby and yourself. We will talk about Shaken Baby Syndrome; what causes it, and how to protect your child.

Learn strategies for accessing and keeping safe and stable housing, being a good tenant, and how to access affordable options. This engaging presentation will walk through some important strategies that will make finding the right housing easier.

Baby Mental Health
Children’s mental health begins in babies’ brains and starts with safety, nurturing, and play! Come join us for an interactive session on children’s mental health…and be prepared to play!

Goodnight, Sleep Tight
Before you say good night to your baby, learn suggested tips on safe sleeping recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Learn what parents and caregivers can do the help baby sleep safely

Employment Connections
Employment Connections is a great resource on the FVTC campus. Their services are open to the public as well as FVTC students. Come and learn how Employment Connections can help you with a job search, resume development, interviewing skills, and much more!

Child Health
This session will help you keep your child healthy. I will review how to tell when your child is sick, when to call the doctor and the importance of well child exams and immunizations.

Healthy Relationships
Relationships are so important to all of us. Come learn warning signs of an unhealthy relationship, how adult relationships impact your children, cycles of abuse, and more.

Mental Health
Life can be tough, especially when balancing school, work, kids, friends, family, errands, and more. Come learn about mental illness and its impact; treatment and recovery; the effects of stigma; and NAMI Fox Valley's role in the community to educate, support and empower those affected by mental illness.

Understanding your Infant (0-12 months)
Our babies learn, grow, and change so quickly! What should you expect at each stage?
Learn different areas and stages of development during your baby’s first year and what to expect at each one. We will spend extra time on the milestones YOU choose- sleep schedules, teething, starting solids, etc.!

Finding the right childcare doesn’t have to be hard! Come learn about childcare resources, childcare assistance programs, and other programs that may be beneficial to you and your children.

Positive Parenting
Learn positive parenting tips and techniques, myths and truths with regards to discipline and communication with your children, and more!

Education and Employment Advancement
Going back to school and finding better work can be an intimidating task. Come learn how CAP and Forward Service Corporation (FSET and W2) can help you with childcare, tuition, books, mileage, car repairs, resume building, and more while you pursue a better job/education.

Handling Pregnancy
Pregnancy could be a long nine months! Learn how to manage discomforts and self-care tips for a healthy mom and healthy baby.

Partnership Community Health Center
Let’s face it- navigating healthcare is confusing. Come and learn about Partnership Community Health Center and how they can make healthcare easier with the services they provide. You also will learn more about Badgercare and how PCHC assists families in the enrollment for the program or in the marketplace.

Breastfeeding is important! Come to learn why, how to get off to the right start, and get some tips for continued breastfeeding success!

Healthy Play with Birth to 5!
Learn about a variety of programs and resources available within Community Early Learning Center and the Appleton community, and fun engaging activities that can provide some healthy play for both you and your child. Also, in this session, each participant will receive a “make and take” activity to enjoy with his or her child at home!
