The first AmeriCorps on the Frontline training will be held on October 10-12, 2018 at the Charleston Civic Center (200 Civic Center Dr, Charleston, WV 25301). The training will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 10 and end by 2:00 pm on Friday, October 12. The training will include AmeriCorps on the Frontline program specific workshops along with a keynote address, breakout sessions and swearing-in ceremony provided by Volunteer WV.

Lodging will be provided at no cost to members. Lodging will be provided for members traveling 2.5 hours or more to attend the training on Tuesday, October 9. All members who are not commuting to the training will receive lodging on Wednesday, October 10 and Thursday, October 11. Members who are traveling 1 hour or less can chose to carpool to the meeting and receive mileage reimbursement for each day of the training rather than selecting lodging. Lodging will be provided at the Holiday Inn Express Charleston-Civic Center (100 Civic Center Dr, Charleston, WV 25301). Members are required to share a room with another member of the same sex.

Mileage reimbursement for the cost one car per county will be provided to members. Members are required to carpool to all AmeriCorps on the Frontline events to help control transportation costs. Members are encouraged to make these arrangements themselves with other members who serve at the same sites or who live within close proximity to one another. Members who are unable to carpool together may make special arrangements with the Program Director prior to the training.

More information about the training/service project, including the agenda, can be found by visiting www.EducationAlliance.org/Training.
