Chelsea Safe & Thriving Families Questionnaire

The Chelsea Thrives Partnership seeks to transform Chelsea to a place where residents feel safe, crime rates have dropped and resident perceptions of safety have improved.

This short survey is meant to get stakeholder feedback on community needs and four identified strategies to support Chelsea as a safe place where families thrive and those in need have access to services and youth have opportunities to succeed.

CONFIRMING STRATEGIES:
We have identified strategies to create a safe and thriving community.  These strategies include: 
-         Youth Navigator position to connect Chelsea youth (both in school and out of school) to services and opportunities in order to address youth needs and support youth success.
-         Trauma training for adults professionals in the community to understand the impacts of trauma on youth and adults, and how to best respect that trauma when interacting.
-         Parent Leadership Training Institute to engage parents in building skills to become powerful leaders in their child’s education and in the community.
-         Youth Worker positions will connect recent immigrants, young parents and other vulnerable youth populations to services and programming.
-         Chelsea Hub to facilitate social service agencies coordinated offering of multiple services to address complex needs and elevated risk.
