The 2022 Watershed Forestry Institute for Teachers will be in-person from Sunday, July 17 - Thursday, July 21 at the Taconic Outdoor Education Center in Cold Spring, NY. 
 
Eligibility: This FREE institute is for 4-8th grade teachers and non-formal educators teaching in NYC or the upstate NYC Watersheds.
 
Requirements: Participants must: 1. Attend the entire program, including completing pre-Institute assignments.  2. Develop and present an Action Plan that outlines how you plan to incorporate select WFIT content and practices into your teaching during the upcoming school year. 3. Share WFIT information with colleagues. 
 
Pre-Institute Homework & Zoom Meeting: Approximately 1 hour of homework will be assigned before WFIT begins, including introducing yourself on Padlet and engaging with some NYC Watershed Forestry content. A pre-Institute meet & greet Zoom will be scheduled in late June to help us begin to build community. 
 
CTLE credits: Participants who complete all program requirements will earn approximately 20 CTLE credit hours.
