Why is this research happening? Stop For Life Devon are partnering with ICE Creates, an independent research agency, to explore your views and experiences of vaping, and how we can support people to stop.
What does this research involve? Taking part in a 60-minute focus group / interview to share your views and experiences.
Taking part is voluntary, you do not have to.
What will happen if I take part? During the interview / focus group, the researcher will ask open questions about your views and experiences of vaping.
You do not have to answer any questions you are not comfortable with.
As a thank you for taking part you will receive a shopping voucher worth up to £20.00
What will you do with my data? We take your privacy extremely seriously.
The focus group will be audio recorded and used only by researchers who listen and take notes to identify key themes. All personal information will be removed from the notes (e.g. your name) so that you cannot be identified in the research findings.
A research report will be produced, and all the feedback will be anonymised.
Your name and email address will be shared with VEX Rewards (a voucher provider) who will process and send you your payment following your participation. We will NOT share your personal details with any other third parties.
We will store your research data on the ICE cloud server which is a securely managed system. We will hold your research data for up to 12-months when it will be deleted.

here.Can I change my mind and withdraw?Yes, you can choose to take part now and change your mind later.
You can withdraw until 2-weeks after the focus group has happened by contacting ICE (see contact details below). After 2-weeks it won’t be possible for you to withdraw because the data we collect will have been analysed. This means your data will not be identifiable.
What if I become uncomfortable? You can leave the focus group at any time if you feel uncomfortable.
You may be offered follow-up information or support by the researchers if you have found the research difficult, emotional or stressful.
Consent If you are under 16 years old, we will need consent from a parent or guardian for you to take part in this research.
