Introduction: The City of Sandpoint is beginning a planning process to determine the direction of future wastewater treatment for the City. The project team is currently reviewing existing conditions and water quality standards and guidelines. Those findings will be used to develop and evaluate improvement options for the treatment plant that will ultimately be included in a Capital Improvements Plan and presented to the City Council for approval. The key decisions will include the plant’s future location, and how to balance a range of factors including affordability and water quality.
