A Study of the Relationship Between a Follower's Personality Trait of Openness to Experience and Their Perception of Their Leader's Level of Transformational Leadership as Influence to Innovation in Organizations

What is the reason for doing this research study?
Research has shown that an employee's/follower's personality trait of openness to experience has had an influence on the employee's/follower's perception of their supervisor's/leader's level of transformational leadership. This research investigates the relationship between an employee's/follower's personality trait of openness to experience and their perception of their supervisor's/leader's level of transformational leadership as influence to innovation in organizations.


What will be done during this research study?
If you decide to accept this invitation, you will be asked to complete a demographic questionnaire, leadership questionnaire assessing your leader/supervisor's leadership style, and questions that assess your personality trait of openness to experience.

What are the possible risks of being in this research study?
Participation in this study has no known risks. It is anonymous and voluntary. No names, identifying information, or IP addresses will be recorded during the study. In addition, you may withdraw from participating in this study at any time without penalty to you.

What are the possible benefits to you?
You are not expected to get any benefits from being in this research study, but you may request the research findings (excluding confidential information) for your review.

What are the possible benefits to other people?
This study could advance the body of knowledge within the areas of leadership studies by contributing to the empirical research that has investigated leadership and innovation in organizations.

What will participation in this research cost you?
There is no financial cost to you.

How will information about you be protected?
All electronic data collected in this study is anonymous. Since all data collected in this study is anonymous, and no names or identifying information will be recorded during this study, there is no way to connect your identity with any of your responses so feel free to answer honestly.  All surveys will be securely stored on the researcher's password protected computer drive.
What will happen if you decide not to be in this study or if you decide to stop?
Participation in this study is voluntary. Furthermore, you may stop participation at any time without penalty and without losing any benefits that are a part of this study.
