Welcome to a survey we are conducting with youth in the Bow River Basin.
The…what?!
Imagine a big area of land where all the rain, snow, and underground water flows into the Bow River - that’s our watershed (aka our basin), called the Bow River Watershed! Water can trickle slowly through underground cracks or rush down mountains in spring. It always moves from high places to low ones, ending up in the Bow River.
Watersheds are connected! They fit together like wooden stacking dolls. Large watersheds, like the Saskatchewan River Watershed, are made up of smaller watersheds, like the South Saskatchewan River Watershed, which is made up of smaller watersheds, like the Bow River Watershed, which is made up of smaller watersheds, like the Elbow River, or Kananaskis River.
