Rental Rights Program:
On February 12, 2019, the Glendale City Council adopted Ordinance #5922 which expands the existing Just Cause Eviction ordinance by adding two new programs.
These new programs consist of:
· Right To Lease - Landlords must offer tenants a minimum one year written lease at the time of a rent increase.
· Relocation Assistance - Tenants are eligible for relocation assistance when they vacate a unit in response to a rent increase of more

· Relocation Assistance - Tenants are eligible for relocation assistance when they vacate a unit in response to a rent increase of more
than 7% in a twelve-month period. Additional criteria may apply.
The ordinance impacts all multi-family units located within Glendale with the following exceptions:
· All parcels containing 2 or fewer units (duplexes)
· Single Family Homes, Condominiums, Townhomes, Government Subsidized Units (Section 8), Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU)
· Additional exemptions may apply.
