In response to public inquiries Groton's Town Manager and Select Board created a Police Camera Working Group.
MISSION:The Police Camera Working Group exists to evaluate current and emerging camera technologies, including fixed cameras, license plate readers, and body-worn cameras, through a collaborative and transparent process. The group's goal is to provide informed recommendations, address community concerns, and support technology decisions that address public safety, accoutability, and public confidence in the Groton Police Department.
GOAL:This survey is open to all residents of Groton and designed to ...
- better understand respondent's knowledge and understanding of the technology issues being addressed
- their hopes and/or concerns related to the technologies in question, and
- their depth of knowledge related to the issues; experience, research, gut feel, media reports only, etc.
HOW THE RESULTS WILL BE USED:The raw results and a summary report will be made available to the public as soon as available in the interest of full transparancy. The results will be used to inform the design of a public forum(s) to ensure community questions are addressed.
This survey is designed to be completed in 5-8 minutes.
