The intersections between COVID-19 and noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) are clear, including the particular vulnerabilities of people living with NCDs to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is also growing evidence of additional strains and obstacles in daily management of NCD conditions due to health systems buckling under the pressure of COVID-19, physical distancing and measures to restrict movement.

Through this survey and drawing from the Our Views, Our Voices initiative, the NCD Alliance is consulting with people living with NCDs on their experiences and priorities during the COVID-19 pandemic to inform efforts looking to learn from the pandemic, ensuring governments are committed to ‘Building Back Better’ with NCD policies that put people first, and to building strong, equitable, sustainable and people-centred health systems.

Your views and experiences will inform advocacy at the global, regional and national levels to address NCDs as part of, and beyond, the COVID-19 response. Results from the survey will also inform a Global Charter on the Meaningful Involvement of People Living with NCDs planned for 2021 that stakeholders can endorse to promote a NCD response that puts people first. Consultation results will be available publicly on the NCD Alliance’s Our Views, Our Voices digital platform (launching early December 2020).

The online consultation survey is available in three languages (English, Spanish and French) and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.
