We are in the process of redesigning the zoo experience for schools. The programs and experiences that will be available when you come to the zoo will be very different starting in the 2016-2017 school year. While the onsite programs we have offered in the past, such as School-to-Zoo and Zoo Experiences for Students and Teachers [ZEST] programs, can be booked through this school season, some of these will no longer be available or will be undergoing changes for the 2016-2017 school year. In light of new directions in science teaching and learning, including the new Washington State Science Learning Standards (Next Generation Science Standards), it’s time for new learning opportunities for K-12 students that will provide stronger, more meaningful connections to your classroom curriculum.
