Small business has long been recognized as the backbone of America’s economy. This category acknowledges the role that entrepreneurship plays in our local economy.
·Includes businesses of under 20 employees
·Allows for consideration of franchise businesses when individually and locally owned.
·The business has a demonstrated commitment to customer service, product development, and has positively impacted the economic vitality of Grays Harbor County
· Business should demonstrate innovation within their market niche or an ability to adapt or to change in their marketplace, locally or regionally. Innovation does not preclude significant renewal for Grays Harbor.
·Business should have a demonstrated record of their commitment to the Grays Harbor community, through either leadership, support of a local community-based organization or giving of financial resources. Part of that is being a GGHI member.
