The Land and Water Days will be held from 10 to 12 November 2015 at FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy.

The event, jointly organized by FAO, IFAD and WFP, is an opportunity for interaction and exchange among those working on programs and projects related to land and water in support of sustainable agriculture and food security.

The Land and Water Days are open to staff from FAO, IFAD and WFP, as well as from partner organisations and interested practitioners.

In order to participate, please Register now by filling this short questionnaire.
Your inputs will help design the programme. Make sure that you contribute your ideas about the topics you would like to see discussed at the Land and Water Days. As the event is highly interactive, think about what experience, knowledge, and tools YOU would like to share and discuss.

About the event:

The event is designed as a platform to exchange experiences across projects and regions, seeking better integration and impacts. Please note that there will be Pre-events on 8 November (Field visits) and 9 November (learning/training sessions).

The goal is to improve the quality of land and water projects by reaching lasting impacts and helping to replicate successful experiences. The focus will be on approaches and technologies for land and water management, drawing on ongoing projects as case studies. The contribution and participation of colleagues dealing with land and water issues in country based projects will be crucial to the success of this initiative.

Notes :
-The event will be held only in English. However, should we receive enough requests, discussions may be organised in other languages when feasible.
- Please note that there are no fees associated with your participation in Land and Water Days 2015. Participants from outside Rome are expected to cover their own costs and organize their travel independently.
- We adopt a "first come-first serve policy"; so if you are interested to contribute, please contribute ideas and register now, even if only tentatively.
If you need a visa to enter in Italy, you should request it immediately (obtaining a visa to Italy takes about 6 weeks). If you need an invitation letter, please register as soon as possible and contact the Land and Water Days Secretariat (Land-Water-Days@fao.org).
