MEMA District 2 is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan. A hazard mitigation plan identifies ways communities can reduce the impacts of natural hazards such as flooding, severe storms, tornadoes, winter storms, drought, extreme heat, dam/levee failure, and other hazards before disasters happen.

Mitigation is intended to reduce loss of life and property by lessening the impacts of disasters before they occur. It focuses on taking action now to reduce human, financial, and community consequences later.

Your input will help identify local hazards, community concerns, vulnerable areas, and mitigation actions that should be considered as part of the plan update. This survey should take approximately 5–10 minutes to complete.
