Innovation District Parks & Trail Master Concept Design Feedback Survey

Thank you for taking the time and being a part of the Innovation District Parks and Trail planning effort! The following questions will ask you about your opinions on the three (3) parks and two (2) trail concepts that were developed. Please refer to the City of Milpitas Innovation District Parks and Trails website to view the different concepts before completing the survey. https://www.milpitas.gov/1357/Innovation-District-Parks-and-Trails-Mas

The following questions pertain to the PARK concepts only. Please be aware that some questions may refer specifically to the north or south parcel.

1.Based on the overall design, which south park concept do you prefer more?

Concept 1 – Strong linear walkway to plaza and overlook at creek

Concept 2 – Three distinct paths dividing the space into three different uses.

Concept 3 - More circular/organic shapes with larger open space and seating in the middle.

2.Which playground location do you prefer between the three south concepts?

Option 1 – Closer to the street

Option 2 – Centrally located

Option 3 – Closer to the creek

3.I prefer the north park parcel to …

Option 1 – Be dedicated to a dog park

Option 2 – Be predominantly a passive space (walking trails, seating, quiet spaces…)

Option 3 – Have a mix of different recreation opportunities (dog park, walking trails, open space, fitness area, art…)

4.Each design has a different mix of activities and programs. Which mix do you prefer?

Option 1 – Sport Court, Bocce ball, Basketball, Playground, Walking Paths

Option 2 – Small dog park, Playground, Basketball, Multi-Generational Courts (Bocce, Corn Hole, Table Tennis)

The following questions pertain to the two TRAIL concepts only. Due to space constraints the trail has been designed to only provide access along the east side of the creek on south of Montague Expressway.
