Join the GT Food Security Team!
This student-led group will support the following programs on the GT campus:
- Manna Food Smart Sacks (donated to a local school)
- Hunger Banquet (an interactive hunger awareness event)
- Mobile Market & Panera Bread Distribution (on-campus, for the MC community)
- Other local food security needs
There are two possible roles:
- Student Leaders will recruit, coordinate and communicate with all volunteers! They are responsible for the GT Food Security Team's overall success! These students must commit to approximately 2 hours/week for the full semester. Apply by 9/15!
- Student volunteers may come out to ONE or MANY events! The only commitment is to please come when you say you'll come. All those who apply will receive notification of events.
Note: MC issues a "Spirit of Service" Certificate for 20+ hours of volunteer work and a "Spirit of Service Medallion" for 100+ hours of service. The award timeline is May 1 - April 30 of any year. Joining the Food Security Team is one of many ways to gain service hours at MC!
