Introduction

Fulford residents are invited to help shape the future of sports and active recreation facilities in the area.

The City of York Council invites you to take part in a second phase of consultation to understand how you currently use Fulford Parish field, off School Lane in Fulford, and how the adjoining Persimmons field could be used if incorporated into the area. Fulford Parish field currently has a children’s play area, football pitches and the Sports Pavilion.

We asked you about the facilities you wanted in 2022 and at that time, many people said they wanted a mix of green space, informal recreation opportunities and sports facilities.

Why we want to hear from you
For this second consultation we want to hear from a wider range of voices -especially people who may not currently or rarely use Fulford Parish field.

We want to know:
  • How do you currently use Fulford Parish field and the Persimmon field, and to share ideas on what facilities might enable a wider range of people to use and enjoy the community space.
  • Your views on how the Sports Pavilion on Fulford Parish field and the nearby Fulford Social Hall could be improved to better serve the community.
Your feedback will help shape these spaces. Alongside this survey, we’re also running workshops with families, young people, older adults and disabled residents to get a wider reach in views. Survey results will ultimately inform a report to the Council’s Executive. Some proposals may need planning permission.
Our survey asks for some personal information which you may choose not to give. We do not publish or share any information which can identify you. Please read our privacy notice to find out more about how we protect your personal information. We will ask for your consent to this at the start of the survey.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting as fulfordsrc@york.gov.uk.
