Introduction
In 1996, the Akron Bar Association's Board of Directors established the Professionalism Award. This award recognizes an attorney's exceptional dedication to the profession's standards by recognizing an individual who has demonstrated integrity and humanitarian concern within the legal community.
In 2018, the Award's name was changed from the "Professionalism Award" to the "Bradford 'Buck' M. Gearinger Professionalism Award" in memory of Attorney Gearinger, an Akron Bar Past-President and award recipient.

The Bradford "Buck" M. Gearinger Professionalism Award Ceremony Event Planning Committee (Committee) is now accepting nominations for this year’s Award. After reviewing the nominations, the Committee provides recommendations to the Board of Directors, who selects the recipient. The Award presentation shall take place during fall, at a dinner honoring the recipient.
Please Note: a nominee must be a member in good standing of the Akron Bar.
