Calling all artists, graphic designers, and creatives! First Alaskans Institute is excited to invite our community to take part in a design contest as a part of our efforts to Get Out the Native Vote. The winning designs will be printed on 2,000 stickers to be shared at the 2026 Elders & Youth Conference, AFN, and beyond ahead of Election Day in November. Help us to make sure that Native voices are heard in deciding the future of governance and representation here in Alaska.
Submissions should be focused on encouraging voting and civic engagement, and should be culturally appropriate and prepared to be shared publicly. Designs should be completed entirely by the artists' own work, and should not use generative AI. The stickers will be made in a 3"x3" format, and can be made into a custom shape. This competition is open to artists of all ages, and allows one submission per person.
The winning design will be awarded $300 in the form of visa gift cards, while second and third place designs will each be awarded a $100 gift card. Winners will be contacted directly, and winning submissions will be shared on our social media pages on Wednesday, September 13. All three will have our gratitude and appreciation for their contribution to getting out the Native vote!
Design submissions are due no later than 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, September 13.
Please upload a high resolution .png file of your design.
