The Cultural Supports Grant is a grant established by Anishinabek Nation’s Education Secretariat. The objective of the grant is to provide financial assistance to Anishinabek Nation students pursuing language, cultural, and/ or land-based opportunities outside the classroom that enhance their educational experience.
The Cultural Supports Grant is a grant established by Anishinabek Nation’s Education Secretariat. The objective of the grant is to provide financial assistance to Anishinabek Nation students pursuing language, cultural, and/ or land-based opportunities outside the classroom that enhance their educational experience.
This grant will provide a reimbursement to a maximum of $300 per student for projects / activities that happened within September 1, 2025 – August 30, 2026. Projects or activities are for individual students and not intended for group projects.
The applicant MUST provide a receipt for their course, resource, or supplies to receive their reimbursement payment.
Applications will be accepted until full.
ELIGIBILITY
1. The applicant is a student who attended school during the 2025-2026 school year. (caregivers can apply for their student)
* Preference will be given to projects involving Anishinabek Nation youth under the age of 21
2. Must be a registered member of one of the 39 Anishinabek Nation First Nations
3. The project is centered in one of these categories.
- Language revitalization
- Land-based learning
- Cultural-based learning
4. Activity will or did take place within September 1, 2025 – August 30th 2026
5. Receipt(s) will be provided for the costs of the project. The applicant MUST provide a receipt(s) to receive their reimbursement payment.
6. Application was submitted by student or caregiver of student
7. Ontario residents only
