Description of Program:
The Philadelphia Education Fund, in collaboration with Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Education Center, is looking for up to 30 dedicated 4th-12th grade educators to participate in a Science Teacher: How-To's workshop. Anita Brook Dupree, founder of Science is My Specialty, will lead an interactive workshop designed to inform educators on key how-to's in working with science students, preparing for the George Washington Carver Science fair, and how to establish a dedicated science space in their classrooms.
 
This FREE workshop will take place from 9am - 12pm on Tuesday, August 14th at Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Education Center. This will be the first of four FREE workshops at Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Education Center, taking place between August 2018 - May 2019.

Benefits:
Eligible in-school educators will receive Act 48 credits and non-classroom educators will receive PQAS Credits.
 
Eligibility:
Must be an educator in the Philadelphia area serving students in the 4th-12th grade. This opportunity is open to classroom teachers, guidance and career counselors, school administrators, museum educators, and after-school and out-of-school time program staff.
