Introduction

East Wimmera Health Service is thrilled to offer the Seeds of Support Community Grants in 2026. With living costs a challenge for many, the grants aim to support communities to strengthen efforts in growing and sharing food locally. Two streams are available - individual and community - with more than $18,000 in funding available.

Objectives
  • Create opportunities to support individuals, families and communities to build localised food skills and confidence.
  • Increase access to fresh produce for community members.
  • Establish a local food network for growers/gardeners to connect, share and learn.

Funding available

  • Individual: A 12-month subscription to Grow It Local (valued at approx. $100)
  • Community: Up to $3,500 per group/organisation/education service
Funding amounts will vary depending on the applicant’s project. Efforts will be made to ensure funds are distributed widely across the EWHS catchment.

We encourage you to share your project ideas and aspirations with us below. Please refer back to the Guidelines document (linked here) for clarification on what is required.

East Wimmera Health Services acknowledges the support of the Victorian Government in making this grant program possible.
